Flexovit USA, Inc. is a USA-based manufacturer of high-productivity abrasives for portable power tools. Flexovit also sells complementary high productivity abrasive products from United States and international sources.
Flexovit USA was founded in Angola, NY by Mr. Jay Iliohan. The company mission, which remains firmly in place today under Mr. Iliohan’s ownership and vision, is to manufacture abrasive products in Western New York that deliver the highest value to users in industrial, welding, and construction trades.
Since producing our first wheels in the summer of 1977, Flexovit has remained determined to manufacture the very best, internationally-competitive industrial abrasives in the USA through smart growth and cutting-edge technology.
In 1995, a major expansion gave us a 100,000 sq. ft. complex. That same year, Flexovit became the first North American abrasives manufacturer to achieve ISO Quality Certification.
Flexovit has since expanded product distribution through four full-service distribution centers servicing North America - Angola, NY and Rancho Cordova, CA covering East and West USA, Brampton, ON, covering Canada, and Flexovit de Latinoamerica in Monterrey, Mexico, servicing Mexico and Central America.
In 2016, our Angola location was completely modernized to feature the most advanced automation and robotics equipment in the industry, enabling us to offer even more value to our customers.

In 1995, Flexovit USA became the first North American abrasive manufacturer to achieve ISO 9001:2008 certification, reaffirming our commitment to continual improvement and total customer satisfaction.
ISO, the International Organization for Standardization, sets requirements and guidelines for creating a Quality Management System. Certified organizations must meet all requirements and undergo an audit by a third party registrar to confirm that they meet all standards.
In order to maintain ISO certification, Flexovit undergoes regular third-party and internal audits. We continuously review the various components of our system to look for opportunities to boost quality. We also measure and review customer satisfaction ratings, taking appropriate action when we find room for improvements.
